What actually is Debt Counselling?

Debt Counselling at DCM means:

• Listening to what YOU say; and
• Understanding YOUR situation; and
• Coming up with a solution on how to solve your debt problems.
• Supporting you throughout the time you are with us by being in your corner.

Our Debt Counsellors

There is no point in talking to someone who knows a little bit about debt. Or someone on the end of the phone who is obviously in a call centre and reading a script that can't cope with answers such as "my partner is seriously ill and I have to look after them" or "my business is not doing well and I can't pay myself as much".

Everyone has a different situation. That is why our counsellors actually listen to you. In fact, we're not really happy unless we can sit down with you, at your home, at your convenience, and really get to the bottom of it all. We're glad to say we've probably made more people cry than a slushy movie but at least they are tears of relief. That's why WE are a success.

Our debt counsellors are highly regarded (in fact everyone at DCM who takes calls seem to have a fan club). Most, if not all, have had first hand experience of fighting debt problems personally. And that means from the top down - our MD, John Baird, formed DCM Money Solutions out of fighting back from debt problems himself, including bankruptcy. How to reach our debt counsellors

Just give our offices a ring. Out of hours the call centre obviously pick up our calls but just ask for a call back and we'll be on it. That's all you need to do.

It's the most important step, that first one. But when you do make it, you'll feel relieved and immediately feel positive.

Our nearest debt counsellor will call you as soon as possible unless one is available right now. No, seriously - as soon as possible you will be able to speak to a professional debt counsellor. They'll introduce themselves, make sure its a good time to talk and get a quick overview of your situation. Hopefully they'll be able to put your mind at ease about your future and get the ball rolling for sorting out those debts.
