Record numbers seeking help

The CAB has reportedly said that 1.7m people sought debt counselling last year, with 40% of people suffering from credit card and other unsecured loan problems.

The worrying rise was the number of people struggling to meet day to day expenses like phone bills and heating.

The CAB is seeking over 5000 new volunteers to help with its problem of handling over 6000 enquiries per day. With such a strain on it's services, the ability of professional debt management companies to pick up the strain is paramount.
